Public and stakeholder engagement are critical to conserving wetlands in Canada. CWR takes current science and builds support for progressive policies and legislation. We make Canadians more aware of wetlands and bring industry and conservation together to work on common ground.

Linking Science, Policy and Implementation

CWR hosts workshops that encourage dialogue and information exchange among stakeholders. These workshops help identify wetland conservation needs and initiate pragmatic science-based solutions.

Thousands of customers have “rounded up” at Cabela’s Canada stores in support of the Cabela’s Canada Outdoor Fund, which in turn supports CWR’s engagement work. With Cabela’s Canada Outdoor Funds, CWR will develop and deliver information to encourage citizen participation in the outdoors, with a focus on wetlands.
